Praying Pelican Missions

I’ve been watching and receiving the emails from Praying Pelican Missions  for quite some time and really respect what they are doing.  Recently they have been helping with the relief issues in Haiti.

This is how they describe themselves (take from their website): Praying Pelican Missions has had over 8,000 short term missionaries serving in 70 different communities throughout Belize, Jamaica and Mexico. We have had teams join us from all over the United States and in Canada. Each year, there is sufficient need to open the doors to 20 new communities. Now, more than ever, we need people to do God’s work in these communities.

I really enjoy this comment. I current am on staff with PPM because of thier unique mission stlye. This year we will have about 20 nationals from Belize, Jamaica, Mexico, and Haiti serving over 100 communities. I first went on a trip in 2004 to Belize with my home church and was asked to help lead trips the next two years. As a school teacher, it was a dream come true. I am now on staff full time and the vision and mission continues to increase in a healthy way for all involved. PPM is known to book trips out a year and a half in advance because of the great demand for this dynamic ministry. Be sure to one of PPM’s trips on your calendar soon, it will change how you do missions.
